Some members of Collegium In Armis have formed a small but enthusiastic Jogo do Pau (Lusitan Fencing) study group under the guidance of Mestre Luis Preto and Frederico Martins in Lisbon, Portugal.

The Portuguese Montante

Eric Myers and Steve Hick have very generously provided an English translation of Dom Diogo Gomes de Figueiredo’s work on the use of the montante, the two-handed sword native to Spain and Portugal. Highly recommended!

2009 Sydney seminar on Renaissance longsword after Joachim Meyer

Bill is aiming to present a full-day, hands-on seminar on Renaissance longsword following the teachings of Joachim Meyer. The seminar is being organised and hosted by our friends in the Fechtschule Sankt Peter. The date is Saturday, 2 May.
